We've had a busy few weeks around here, but I really want to share some of the details from Peanut's Birthday Party.
I loved planning and preparing for the big day (although I may have driven my husband a bit crazy). Many of my inspirations came from Pinterest (big surprise). You can check out my First Birthday board here.
I simply adore how the decorations and food turned out.
Here are some of the details that made the day so special.
Big Pinwheel-Style Paper Rosettes

Table Banner

12 Month Photo Banner

Chocolate Covered Sunflower Seed Favors

Peanut's Smash Cake
(cake inspiration from "i am baker" & candle inspiration from "dollar store crafts")
The cake itself was a two-tier boxed funfetti cake & the frosting was homemade butter-cream icing.
Yumm!
Cupcakes
(strawberry cupcake with cream cheese frosting)
i can't seem to find the recipe for this, but will post when i do.
Cupcake stand was made from a depression glass plate and glass (garage sale finds) glued together.
Both were pink & perfect for this project (thanks Mom!!)
The cupcake toppers were scrapbook paper I punched with my 1 1/2 in. circle punch and added a pink "1".
Flags were made from washi tape wrapped on a toothpick and the ends were cut into a double point.
Both were terribly easy to make.
Chocolate Kisses
You can find instructions on how to make these all over the web.
They should have been super easy to make.
However, my printer wanted to give me a hard time and did not line up properly when printing.
This meant that I had to go through and adjust the layout on all of the stickers before printing again.
The result was a that some of the kisses were a bit more off center than the others.
But, oh well!
Food Label Place Cards

(inspired by "cherished bliss")
These cards were quick and easy to make.
I first cut several rectangles out of patterned scrapbook paper (4x6" i believe).
Then created a template in word to make sure my words fit into a 2x3" square.
The font I used was "Over the Rainbow" available at dafont.com.
Next, cut out the labels and tape to tented cards with patterned washi tape.
Easy peasy!!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the all of the party details!!
